Cala kIQ
FDA-cleared, wearable device that delivers effective therapy for action hand tremor in people with essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease. Cala kIQ therapy is calibrated to patients’ tremor and uses non-invasive stimulation delivered in an alternating fashion to median and radial nerves with fixed frequencies to interrupt tremulous activity in the brain circuitry.
My Role:
Clinical Trial Auricular Earpiece
Wearable vagus nerve stimulation device built for early feasibility studies at Cala and Massachusetts General Hospital. Stimulation is respiration-gated and controlled by an app via Bluetooth. Used in multiple studies for efficacy against a variety of chronic inflammatory conditions.
